Please tell us if you find a bug or have a problem. Thanks so much for the feedback so far, we rely on user reports to find problems in different countries. Unfortunately Mark can't afford to travel around the world and test Smart Caller in every country ;-)

Known problems in version 2.1...

  • Users who installed Bizon card when Smart Caller first came out in early December 2008 are getting crashes on startup. Version 2.2 will fix this. Mean time you can work around this problem by deleting Smart Caller from your iPhone, reinstalling (free) and setting up your card again via the 'Find best calling card for calling your countries' or 'Setup card manually'.

Known problems in version 0.1 (fixed in current release)...

  • Smart Caller gets the phone number and country confused when dialing from Russia. It thinks it’s dialing from Japan. Working to fix this bug now. (Smart Caller is not available in the Russia App Store until this is fixed.)
  • Can't dial different international exit codes in countries that need them such as Japan and many countries in South America. Working on adding this now. (Smart Caller is not available in Japan or South America until this is fixed.)
  • For some calling cards, the computer doesn't wait long enough for Smart Caller to dial all the tones, so the card doesn't work. Unfortunately Smart Caller can't control the tone dialing speed, as it’s controlled by the iPhone itself. We've asked Apple to speed it up a bit in a future release of the iPhone firmware.
  • Can't configure ’#' in calling card dialing. This is a limitation with the iPhone software itself, not Smart Caller. In fact, none of the calling card apps can dial '#'. We're tracking this problem with Apple and will update Smart Caller as soon as using '#' is possible. However, the calling cards on our recommended list work without the '#'.
